We’re on a mission to help the nation sleep better. So we are officially sending someone to Costa Rica to participate in one ultimate sleep-off. It’s SLEEP VS SLOTH.

Submit a short video up to 30 seconds showing how your sleep routine gives you edge. You could be flying to compete in SLEEP VS SLOTH, the ultimate showdown on shut-eye. 

Prize:

One selected participant will receive a trip to Costa Rica from Thursday 4th September 2025 until Saturday 13th September to participate in the ultimate sleep-off. SLEEP VS SLOTH. 

Prize includes return economy flights from New Zealand to Costa Rica, Accommodation, meals and extra travel entertainment.

Schedule of Promotion

  1. Promoter and Promotion

The promoter is Vitaco Health (NZ) Limited

 The Promotion is Sleep versus Sloth 2025.

  1. Eligibility
  • Entry is open to New Zealand residents aged 18 years or older.
  • Entrants must hold a valid passport with at least six (6) months’ validity remaining as at the date of departure and be legally eligible to travel internationally. Entrants must have no criminal convictions (police check may be required), provide proof of vaccination(s) if applicable and be medically fit to travel.
  • Employees of the Promoter, its agencies, and their immediate families are not eligible to enter.
  1. Entry Method
  • To enter, individuals must comment “sleep” on the relevant promotional post on Healtheries’ official social media channel being Instagram
  • Entrants will receive a direct message (“DM”) with instructions to submit a short video (maximum duration: 30 seconds) demonstrating their best sleep tips. All individuals appearing in the video must provide consent to be featured (submission of video shall imply consent from entrant and any individual in such video). The Promoter, its affiliates and third parties accept no liability for lack of receipt of consent. Submitted videos must not contain offensive language, imagery or inappropriate behaviour, and sleep tips must be safe, non-harmful and not pose any risk to the entrant or others. Video submissions must be original, created by the entrant, and submitted via the method specified in the DM.
  • Promotion Period: 08-22 August 2025. Entries must be received by 11:59pm NZST on 21st August. Any submission thereafter shall not be accepted.
  1. Prize
  • One participant will receive a return trip to Costa Rica to participate in the “Sleep versus Sloth” challenge, including:
    • Return economy flights from Auckland, New Zealand to Costa Rica.
    • Accommodation near the Toucan Rescue Ranch.
    • Three meals per day and ground transport.
    • Participation in the live-streamed “sleep-off” with a sloth.
  • The winner must be available to travel during the required travel period being 04-13 September 2025. Any inability to travel shall deem the prize forfeited.
  • The prize is non-transferable, exchangeable or non-redeemable for cash. Prize is subject to change if promotor deems necessary.
  • No prize money will be provided and the participant(s) will need own spending cash.
  1. Winner Selection and Notification
  • The winner will be selected based on the creativity and originality of their video submission by a judging panel appointed by the Promoter.
  • The judging process will be documented to ensure transparency. Such material is deemed confidential unless otherwise legally required.
  • The winner will be notified via DM and/or email within 48 hours of the competition closing.
  • If the winner does not respond within 24 hours, the Promoter reserves the right to select an alternative winner.
  • The winner must immediately confirm their availability for travel during the required period; failure to do so or inability to travel during the required travel period may result in forfeiture of the prize.
  • The winner must provide a copy of their passport with 24 hours of being notified they have won. A valid passport with the required six-month remainder is a condition of the prize. Additionally they may need to provide proof of medical fitness, police check and vaccination status. Persons that have travelled to or are from certain countries recently may need to have certain vaccinations.
  1. Conditions of Participation
  • By entering, participants agree to:
    • Participate in promotional activities including but not limited to media interviews, social media content, and live streaming.
    • Allow their video submission, personal information (if and/or where applicable) and footage from the entire trip to be used by Healtheries and/or its affiliates across its platforms and marketing activities.
    • Be filmed during the “sleep-off” and have the content shared publicly.
    • Act in a respectful, sober and legal manner for the duration of the trip.
  • Participants must be comfortable being on camera and in a live-streamed environment. Participants must act in accordance with guidance from Promoter, their affiliates and the Toucan Rescue Ranch where applicable.
  • Participants must comply with all health and safety guidelines, regulations and laws provided by the Promoter, its third parties the Toucan Rescue Ranch and local authorities where applicable.
  • If required, Participant must be willing to have required vaccinations
  • Participants will be required to sign a Waiver and Release form and any other documentation required including from third parties associated with the event.
  1. Live Stream Risk Management
  • The Promoter will take reasonable steps to mitigate risks associated with live streaming, including:
    • Pre-briefing the winner and production team.
    • Implementing content moderation protocols.
    • Ensuring the media agency has prior experience with live streaming.
  • However the participant acknowledges not all risks can be known and the trip is not without risk.
  • The Promoter reserves the right to delay, suspend or cancel the live stream if technical, reputational or other risks arise.
  1. Sloth Sanctuary Vetting
  • TBWA has vetted the Toucan Rescue Ranch, a licensed wildlife rescue facility in Costa Rica with a strong reputation for animal welfare 
  • The sanctuary is recognised by Costa Rican authorities and operates under strict conservation and rehabilitation protocols.
  1. Travel Requirements
  • The winner must hold a valid passport at the time of entry, with six months remaining from date of entry to Costa Rica and be eligible for visa-free entry to Costa Rica for up to 90 days 
  • The Promoter will cover:
    • Return economy flights from Auckland to Costa Rica for the chosen participant, accommodation, three meals per day, and ground transport.
    • Required vaccinations and travel insurance.
  • The winner must provide medical clearance, travel documentation and any other information required at least one week prior to departure.
  1. Privacy and Consent
  • All participants must provide written consent for:
    • Unlimited and unrestricted use of personal data for competition administration, promotional purposes and brand use.
    • Unlimited and unrestricted use of their likeness, voice, and video content across Healtheries platforms and marketing material.
  • Data will be handled in accordance with the Privacy Act 2020 and the Promoter’s Privacy Policy (a copy of which can be found on the Promoter’s website).
  1. General
  • The Promoter reserves the right to verify the eligibility of entrants and disqualify any entrant who breaches these terms or for other reasons.
  • The Promoter may amend, suspend, or cancel the competition, trip or sleep off due to unforeseen circumstances.
  • The Promoter accepts no liability for travel disruptions, medical issues, loss, participants behaviour or other incidents during the trip.
  • The Promoter requires the Participant, as a condition of accepting the Prize, to sign an agreement to release the Promoter and its affiliates from legal liability arising from the use of or participation in the Promotion including the trip and all ancillary activities.
  1. Indemnity Form
  • If requested by the Promoter, its affiliates or third Parties including the Toucan Rescue Ranch, any participant or their companion must sign an indemnity, waiver and release form provided by the Promoter at least [one week] prior to departure and if required for participant in any activities in connection with the live-stream or Promotion. Failure to do so will mean the participant waives their right to the prize and participation in the live-stream.
  1. Exclusion from Liability
  • The Promoter, its partners, affiliates, and related bodies corporate will not be liable for any direct or indirect loss (including, without limitation, special or consequential loss or loss of profits), expense, damage, personal injury or death which is suffered or sustained (whether or not arising from any persons negligence) in connection with this Promotion or accepting or partaking in the prize, except for any liability which cannot be excluded by law, in which case such liability is limited to the minimum allowable by law.
  • The Promoter, its partners, affiliates and bodies corporate accept no responsibility for late, lost, incomplete, incorrectly submitted or delayed information, transportation, belongings or otherwise.

Acceptance

Entry into the competition constitutes acceptance of these Terms & Conditions.

Terms and Conditions

  1. Schedule and Terms of Entry
    1. These terms and conditions of entry must be read together with the Schedule for this Promotion (collectively the Terms of Entry). The Schedule contains details concerning who may enter, and how and when to enter, the time, place & method of prize selection, prize details, who the Promoter is and any permit details (if necessary).  By entering the Promotion, entrants agree to be bound by the Terms of Entry.  Any person who attempts to enter this Promotion shall be referred to in these Terms of Entry as an “entrant”, irrespective of whether any entry is accepted by the Promoter.
    2. To the extent of any inconsistency between the Schedule and these terms and conditions the Schedule prevails.
  2. Eligible Entrants
    1. Entry is open only to residents of New Zealand who comply with the eligibility requirements set out in Schedule opposite the heading ‘Eligibility’.
    2. Associated persons and entities. Directors, officers, management, employees and other staff (and the immediate families of directors, officers, management, employees and other staff) of the Promoter or of its related bodies corporate, or of the agencies or companies associated with this Promotion are ineligible to enter.  “Immediate families” means spouse, de facto spouse, parent, natural or adopted child, and sibling.
    3. Using different identities. Any person who is discovered to have used or attempted to use any more than one name in order to enter any Promotion run by the Promoter except in the case of a legal change of name in this Promotion is ineligible to enter this Promotion.
    4. Correct Information. Entrants must only register in their own name. Any entries of an entrant who is deemed by the Promoter to have provided incorrect, misleading or fraudulent information may, at the sole discretion of the Promoter, be deemed invalid. 
    5. Proof. The Promoter may require entrants to promptly provide identification including (without limitation) proof of identity, proof of age and proof of residency (to the Promoter’s satisfaction, at its sole discretion) in order to confirm the entrant’s identity, age, residential address, eligibility to enter, participate and claim a Prize. In the event that the entrant fails to produce such proof within the required timeframe that entrant will be ineligible for the Promotion.
    6. If an entrant’s contact details change during the promotional period, it is the entrant’s sole responsibility to notify the Promoter. A request to modify any entry information should be directed to Promoter.

 

3. Entry Method

    1. Promotion Period. To enter the Promotion, entrants must follow the Entry Method during the Promotion Period. Entries must be received by the Promoter during the Promotion Period
    2. Costs of Entry. Costs associated with entry remain an entrant’s responsibility and may vary this includes the cost of accessing the Promoter’s website which will be dependent on the costs charged by the entrant’s internet service provider
    3. Social Media Entry. If this Promotion is conducted or involves entry via a social media platform, the following will apply:
  1. an entrant’s entry must be submitted by the individual entrant;
  2. entrants must ensure their security settings on their personal account allows the Promoter to contact them in the event that the entrant is a winner;
  3. use of social media platforms is subject to the terms and conditions of use of that social media platform;
  4. entrants acknowledge that the Promotion is in no way sponsored, endorsed or administered by, or associated with, any social media platform. The winner are solely responsible and liable for the content of their entries and/or posts and any other information they transmit to other Internet users; and
  5. to the extent permitted by law, the winner agrees to release any and all social media platforms (and their associated agencies and companies) used in conjunction with this Promotion, against any and all losses, actions, claims, costs, expenses and damages (of any nature) which may be incurred by the winner and their companions in respect of their participation in the Promotion.

d. Any form of automated entry using any device or software is invalid. Entries are deemed to be received at the time of receipt by the Promoter not at the time of transmission by the entrant. 

e. Once an entry is submitted, entrants acknowledge that the entry may not be withdrawn, altered or deleted (except as and where required by the Promoter).

f. This promotion is in no way sponsored, endorsed or administered by, or associated with Meta Platforms, Inc, and the entrant releases Meta Platforms, Inc from any and all liability that may arise in connection with the promotion.

4. Prize (General)

    1. General. The Prize for this Promotion is specified in the Schedule and the maximum prize value is specified in the Maximum Prize Value section of the Schedule.
    2. No transfers or exchanges. The Prize must be taken as offered and cannot be varied. No prize is transferable or exchangeable, nor can it be redeemed for cash (unless otherwise indicated). In the event for any reason a winner does not take an element of any Prize at the time stipulated by the Promoter then that element of the Prize will be forfeited by the winner and cash will not be supplied for that element of the Prize.
    3. Variation in Prize value. The Promoter accepts no responsibility for any variation in Prize value. Where a Prize (or part thereof) is unavailable for any reason, the Promoter may substitute for that Prize another item of equal or higher value as determined by the Promoter.
    4. Prize Delivery. Prizes will be provided by the Promoter to the winner as stated in the Prize section of the Schedule.

5. Vouchers and Tickets

    1. If the Prize includes vouchers, all vouchers are valid until the voucher expiry date as specified on the voucher or by the provider of the voucher. Vouchers are subject to the conditions stipulated by the provider of the voucher.
    2. If the prize includes tickets, all tickets are valid for the date or period as indicated on the tickets. Tickets are subject to the conditions stipulated by the provider of the tickets.

6. Notification of Winners

    1. The winner/s will be notified as stated in the Notification of Winners section of the Schedule.

7. Disqualification

    1. Compliance with Terms of Entry. If the Promoter becomes aware after an entrant has won a Prize that the entrant has not complied with these Terms of Entry, that entrant will have no entitlement to the Prize, even if the Promoter has announced them as a winner. That entrant will be required to return, refund or otherwise make restitution of the Prize.
    2. Tampering. The Promoter reserves the right to verify the validity of any entries and in its sole discretion, disqualify any or all entries from, and prohibit further participation in this Promotion by, any person who: (a) tampers with or benefits from any tampering with the entry process or with the operation of the Promotion; (b) acts in violation of these Terms of Entry; (c) acts in a disruptive manner; (d) acts with the intent to annoy, abuse, threaten or harass any other person; or (e) engages in any unlawful or other improper misconduct calculated to jeopardise the fair and proper conduct of the Promotion. The Promoter’s legal rights to recover damages or other compensation from such an offender are reserved.
    3. For the avoidance of doubt, the winner can be disqualified after the winner is notified and published under this Clause 8. Failure by the Promoter to enforce any of its rights at any stage does not constitute a waiver of those rights. No compensation will be payable if the winner or their companion are unable to use any element of the Prize for whatever reason.

 

8. Exclusion of Liability

    1. The Promoter and its associated agencies and companies make no warranties or representations about the fitness for purpose or suitability of any Prize and will not accept responsibility for the quality or fitness for any purpose of any Prize, or the failure of any Prize to be of merchantable quality. If liability under terms implied by legislation cannot be excluded, the liability of the Promoter and its associated agencies and companies is limited to re-supplying the relevant goods or services or paying the cost of replacing them
    2. The Promoter, its promotional partners, prize suppliers and their related bodies corporate will not be liable for any direct or indirect loss (including, without limitation, special or consequential loss or loss of profits), expense, damage, personal injury or death which is suffered or sustained (whether or not arising from any person’s negligence) in connection with this Promotion or accepting or using any Prize, except for any liability which cannot be excluded by law (in which case that liability is limited to the minimum allowable by law).
    3. Without limiting the previous paragraph, the Promoter and its associated agencies and companies will not, subject to applicable state regulation, be liable for any damage to or delay in transit of Prizes.
    4. The Promoter accepts no responsibility for late, lost, incomplete, incorrectly submitted, delayed, illegible, corrupted or misdirected entries, claims or correspondence whether due to error, omission, alteration, tampering, deletion, theft, destruction, transmission interruption, communications failure or otherwise.
    5. The Promoter has no control over communications networks or services, the Internet, or computer or telephone networks or lines and accepts no responsibility for any problems associated with them, whether due to traffic congestion, technical malfunction or otherwise.
    6. The Promoter accepts no responsibility for loss of belongings, damage to reputation or for delayed or cancelled transportation.

 

9. Conduct of Promotion

    1. Unforeseen Events. If for any reason any aspect of this Promotion is not capable of running as planned for any reason beyond the reasonable control of the Promoter, including, but not limited to, by reason of war, terrorism, state of emergency or disaster (including natural disaster), infection by computer virus, telephone network failure, bugs, tampering, delay, cancellation, unauthorised intervention, fraud, technical failures or anything which corrupts or affects the administration, security, fairness, integrity or proper conduct of this Promotion, the Promoter may, in its sole discretion, cancel, terminate, modify or suspend the Promotion, invalidate any affected entries and/or, if necessary, provide an alternative prize to the same value as the original prize.
    2. Amendment of Promotion. Without limiting any other paragraph, the Promoter may at its sole discretion amend any aspect of this Promotion or of these Terms of Entry from time to time, subject to applicable laws.
    3. Currency. Unless the contrary intention appears, a reference in these Terms of Entry or the Schedule or in any advertisement relating to this Promotion to New Zealand dollars, dollars, NZD$ or $ is a reference to the lawful currency of New Zealand.
    4. Compliance with Terms of Entry. If an entrant is unable to or refuses or fails to take part in any element of this Promotion or an entrant or entry is deemed not to comply with these Terms of Entry, that entrant’s entry to the Promotion will be invalid.
    5. Should a prize winner consent to having his/her photograph or video taken, that prize winner consents to having his/her name and photograph, video published in any form of media and agrees to participate in any reasonable promotion requested by the Promoter.

10. Personal Information

    1. Privacy Policy. A copy of the Promoter’s Privacy Policy in relation to the treatment of Personal Information collected in connection with this Promotion may be accessed on the Promoter’s website at https://healtheries.co.nz/privacy
    2. Collection Statements. By entering and participating in the Promotion in the manner required, entrants agree to the collection and disclosure of their Personal Information in accordance with the relevant collection statement notified to the entrant at the time of entering the Promotion.
    3. Third Party Personal Information. Each entrant must ensure that any other person whose personal details have been provided by the entrant to the Promoter for the purposes of the entrant’s participation in this Promotion has given their implied or express consent for their details to be provided to the Promoter and any of its related bodies corporate and to be contacted by the Promoter or any of its related bodies corporate in relation to this Promotion.
    4. Personal Information means, for the purpose of the Privacy Act 2020 , information or an opinion about an identified individual, or an individual who is reasonably identifiable, whether the information or opinion is true or not and whether the information or opinion is recorded in a material form or not.

11. Dispute Resolution

    1. Dispute Notification. If an entrant has a dispute with the Promoter relating to the goods or services provided under this agreement, the entrant must first notify the Promoter in writing, specifying the nature of the dispute and the remedy the entrant seeks. The notice must be provided within 30 days of the occurrence of the issue giving rise to the dispute.
    2. Initial Dispute Resolution. The Promoter agrees to make reasonable efforts to resolve the dispute through informal negotiation within 20 days from the date the dispute is notified. The entrant and the Promoter may exchange information and attempt to resolve the issue in good faith, without resorting to legal proceedings.
    3. Mediation. If the dispute cannot be resolved informally within 40 days of the initial notification, either party may request that the dispute be referred to an independent mediator. The mediator will be agreed upon by both parties or appointed by the New Zealand Dispute Resolution Centre. The costs of mediation will be shared equally unless otherwise agreed.
    4. Escalation to External Bodies. If the dispute remains unresolved after mediation, either party may escalate the matter to an external dispute resolution body.

12. Governing law

    1. The laws of New Zealand govern the Promotion.
